Tolland and Hartford counties are getting new branches but Fairfield and Middlesex counties are losing branches on the state's banking map. CONNECTICUT — The Connecticut banking landscape is losing a pair of branches, but gaining two back in the latest announced shuffling of financial institutions. JP Morgan Chase has embarked on a pair of moves to add branches in Vernon and East Hartford, respectively. The bank has targeted a vacancy at the Tri-City Plaza in Vernon. It's at the Kelly Road end of the commercial plaza at the location deemed redundant following the M&T Bank takeover of People's United.
