CT State Police / Contributed / SHELTON — A portion of Route 8 is closed Sunday morning after a 'serious' one-car crash, according to state police. A Connecticut State Police public information officer said the crash occurred around 5:30 a.m. Sunday morning in the area of Exit 11 in Shelton. Police said at least one person suffered 'serious injuries' as a result of the crash, though they did not provide any more detail.
